Jun: Chinese people keep pretty detailed family histories, but I've never heard of anything like that. Laura: We have good reason to be so meticulous. Mormon families who have been sealed through a temple marriage will remain together forever in the afterlife. Jun: We pray to our ancestors and burn paper cars and things for them to use in heaven. Laura: How superstitious! No, we want our ancestors to be together with us in the afterlife. Even the ones who didn't have the chance to become Mormon.
★ meticulous (a.)

When two couple go out together, it’s called double dating. A friend might even arrange a blind date for you with someone you don’t know. That doesn’t mean you keep your eyes closed the whole evening! You just don’t know who your partner will be until the time of the date. If someone asks you out on any kind of date, and you don’t want to go, you may politely say, “No, thanks.”
